SYNU Attends the 2025 Annual Meeting on Work Deployment of the Ministry of Education’s “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan” for Teacher Education

Recently, the 2025 annual meeting on work deployment of the Ministry of Education’s “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan”(CQIP) for teacher education was held at Nanjing Normal University. Officials from the Ministry of Education, leaders from the China Teacher Development Foundation and Ma Yun Foundation for Public Welfare of Zhejiang attended the meeting and delivered important speeches. Representatives from 10 working groups of the Plan composed of 72 universities participated in the meeting. President of SYNU, Professor Yang Song, vice president Tang Libao and leaders from related offices attended the meeting.

During the meeting, President Yang and the representatives of the Nanjing Normal University delegation group jointly discussed over issues on relevant work of the group. In particular, President Yang fully exchanged views on future work with Hua Guihong, the President of Nanjing Normal University, one of the leading universities in CQIP. Leaders of the participant universities also exchanged their ideas on work plans on resource sharing, teacher exchange, curriculum co-construction, and scientific research collaboration.

On group meeting, President Yang introduced SNYU’s practices in academic discipline development, talent cultivation and social exchange and cooperation. Yang also expressed future collaborating hope that SYNU could use Nanjing Normal University’s experience as a reference in school management and construction of cadre team, that partnership could be established between the two universities regarding cadre training. The vice president Tang Libao also exchanged opinions with leaders of Nanjing Normal University on cadre training.

The Ministry of Education carried out CQIM for teacher education, with 10 leading universities and 30 participant universities, focusing to support 32 colleges and universities. As a member of the group led by Nanjing Normal University, SYNU is to support Tangshan Normal University with the high-quality development of teacher education in terms of discipline construction, talent training, and quality improvement of normal students.

The Advancement of “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan” builds a solid foundation for fulfilling the task of fostering virtue through education. It also facilitates our school’s effort to become an educational exchange center with more social influence. SYNU will take the Plan as an opportunity to enhance its social influence and reputation.
